One day strike will affect import clearances
Civil Servants plan Industrial Action at the NCH
The National Clearance Hub service will be affected as a result of planned Industrial Action by Civil Servants on Thursday, 30th June.
HMRC report that they will be operational and have contingency plans in place. However, they cannot rule out significant delays in route 1 processing.
The advice from HMRC is, where possible; avoid submitting declarations on this day. Priority clearance requests will be granted for livestock and life/death consignments only.
At this stage, HMRC expect to operate a normal service on Wednesday, 29th June and Friday, 1st July.
