Norman Globals’ Feltham warehouse has been equipped with the latest Rapiscan X-Ray machine enabling screening of cargo up to 1.6m high and 1.5m wide, weighing as much as 3000kgs.

Staff have been specially trained to use the equipment and recognise risk materials and objects

This new facility means that all cargo which is ‘un known’  is passed through the X-Ray machine prior to delivery into the airline, reducing the close out time from 12hours prior to departure (for unknown cargo) to just 6 hours. The likelihood of missing a flight is also reduced simply because the airline doesn’t have to carry out the X-Ray procedure itself in the limited time period prior to taking the cargo to aircraft side
